Bringing Copenhagen one step closer to Broadway.

Founded in 2022 by an international group of singers and musical lovers, the CPH Musical Theater Co’s mission is to perform and encourage broader appreciation of musical theater in Denmark.

Co-founders

Rachel Kador

Originally from the United States, Rachel has appeared on Copenhagen stages many times since her arrival in Denmark in 2014. She has performed in the Copenhagen Theatre Circle’s productions of Robin Hood, The Actor’s Nightmare, and Treasure Island, among others. Behind the scenes, she has helped produce plays, musicals, concerts, and theater festivals in Denmark and has served as Chair for the CTC.

Lasse Holmelund Jarbøl

Born in Odense, Lasse moved to Copenhagen to help spread his love for musicals. He has worked as an assistant director in both Odense and Copenhagen on the plays Irakisk Kristus and Elusia. Alongside CMTC, Lasse is studying Theatre and Performance at the University of Copenhagen.

David Barrett

Actor, director and producer, David has worked in theatre for over 30 years in Canada, the UK, and Denmark. His favorite form of theatre has always been and remains the musical. He is excited to be part of Copenhagen's latest company and involved in the city's thriving theatre scene.

Alexander Bastian Nielsen

Alexander is currently pursuing an education in Theatre and Performance Studies at the University of Copenhagen with a focus on musical theater, diversity and reshaping the industry. With experience from Det Kongelige Teater, Down The Rabbit Hole Theatre, Copenhagen Theatre Circle and more, Alexander is focused on cultivating a new and more international musical theater scene in Denmark.
